Stabilizing Swaying Motor and Fan on Elevated Base
Vibration Analysis
Vibration Analysis & Structural Modification
A motor and fan mounted on a tall, narrow base exhibited excessive swaying during operation, posing a risk to performance and reliability. After a detailed vibration analysis, we identified structural resonance as the root cause. To correct the issue, we engineered and poured a larger concrete base around the existing structure—modifying the system’s natural frequencies and eliminating the excessive movement. The result: improved stability, enhanced safety, and long-term operational confidence.
